What a terrific Masters Tournament to kick off the majors; here’s hoping that the rest of the season brings as much excitement and healthy competition. April showers are setting the stage for a beautiful summer here in Bethesda; at MacDuff, we look forward to a season of great golf and good, continued growth within our organization and for our clients and partners, including ANNIKA brands,
Josh Smith and Tin Cup. We’re excited to share more about our work with The Shivas Irons Society in coming months, too. Best wishes from MacDuff to you and your family for a happy and joyful Easter weekend.
Annika E-News
Did you see the April issue of ANNIKA e-News? Annika Sorenstam, the Swedish golf great, gave us an update on the growth and progress of William Nicholas McGee, who came into the world at just 2.12 pounds. Will, who is in the NICU, has been growing steadily and gaining weight since that time. You can keep up on his progress via Annika’s blog
, and read the April newsletter for her heartfelt thanks to friends and fans for their encouragement and support. Read More Here.
Masterful Golf Writer
America's Gift to Golf: Herbert Warren Wind on The Masters
is a compendium of all of The Masters articles written by the legendary writer. The first two essays are from Sports Illustrated, including an original article that was never actually published. The bulk of the book contains all of Wind's articles that ran in The New Yorker, from 1962 to 1989. Wind is considered the finest golf writer America has ever produced. One of only two writers who are members of the World Golf Hall of Fame, Wind is most famous for his long, ruminative essays on The Masters. In 1958 he gave name to Amen Corner, the famous three-hole stretch of holes - the 11th, 12th and 13th - that always seem to decide The Masters. While the best event in golf may be over for another year, this will fill your Masters well for many months.

Coolest iPad 2 Cover
It took awhile and many Internet searches before I found my perfect iPad 2 cover. I first bought the Apple one that looks really cool on TV and used it for all of three days. The trouble was, when I picked up the iPad, the thing was flapping around and it doesn't protect the back of the machine at all. My advice? Forget that one and buy one that looks after your $700 computer in a much more substantial manner. I like and recommend you take a look at the Pyrus (I know, terrible name!). It is on Amazon.com here for $39.50.
It is made of red, black or brown leather, covers the whole iPad, and has a "kick stand" for watching video, plus holes in all the right places for the two cameras and speaker that are standard on iPad 2. Read More Here.
